Women in peruvian history - A long journey through their influence and adversities

Despite all the obstacles that Peruvian women have faced, today they have managed to obtain respect and recognition, working in various areas. At present, women in Peru have acquired a greater presence in the labor, political and business spheres. If we look a little back on the timeline, in the 20th century, we can realize the progress of women in relation to their presence in the workplace. According to the newspaper, La Gestión (2015) “In the 70's, three out of every 10 women worked, in the 90's the figure rose to 5 out of 10. Currently 78% of Peruvian women of working age do so.” If we associate work with growth and development, there is a clear contribution of women in the progress of our country in recent decades. An important factor, pursued by women for a long time, was access to education.
